Traveling back in time a bit for this MOC. My son and I were always on the hunt for a large epic build we could try our hands at. The idea for this Mountain Fortress was from a LEGO Chima Competition that we saw advertised requesting applicants submit the best fortress possible for the Chima world.
Yes, you saw that right. We started organizing our LEGO pieces in Gatorade bottles. Thankfully we have upgraded since then.
Looking back I think we should have made it a bit more fun, but it went a very scenic route. It looked a bit like a lost abandoned castle you would end up finding deep in a jungle. Aside from the foliage the castle is a mirror image of itself on either side of the waterfall. I enjoyed building the waterfall the most, but filling the battlements at the highest point of the castle with flames added a touch I really enjoyed.
Overall it was a bit of a simple, yet enjoyable, build.
