It’s small, detailed, and a perfect rendition of Boba Fett’s classic ship. LEGO #75344 Boba Fett’s Starship Microfighter is a great addition to the microfighter theme. With 85 pieces and rated for 6+ it is a great set for young kids, or for the adult collector such as myself. It includes three bags, all of which are unnumbered.
Probably the most significant feature of this set is Boba Fett himself. The print job on his face, torso, and legs are highly detailed. A scowl rests upon his face and scars surround his head the stories of his past left for him to carry. The torso is black with dark green armor plating above a brown belt. Each arm has detailing running down them, the most notable a red mythosaur on a yellow background on his left side. The legs are a mixture of metallic grey, black and yellow markings. He comes with a helmet, jet pack, and blaster. The blaster has added length to it with the attachment of a lightsaber hilt. The jetpack and helmet are both a pale minty green, which honestly does not feel quite right for the character. The helmet especially should have been a shade darker to fit in better with his dark green armor. The jetpack has no additional coloring to it, but is detailed in shape. The helmet has a dark front with the characteristic curves and T slit all of which are done in dark green, maroon and black. Overall I am really impressed with the quality and detail of this minifig.
Slave 1 is adorable in microfighter size. Considering the small number of pieces used to create the ship it looks very authentic. His little side wings that rotate freely are the cutest feature. A cockpit shield is slender and curved, but it does not completely seal the opening where Boba sits. This allows him to utilize his blaster in case he is attacked. I actually like this aspect as I think it brings great visual character to the overall look.
The ship also has two cannons which have lasers that can project out with the slight push from behind. The ship can either rest in its landing position, or prop nicely upwards at a slight angle to mirror the flying ability of the craft. One last feature that I think was really smart to add in is a recess built behind the seat which enables his jetpack to stay connected to him as he sits in his ship.
Overall, great build. Nicely priced for a quick pickup when you happen upon it in stores, and looks really cool lined up next to any other microfighters you may have collected. You can’t go wrong adding this set to your collection.
