It is always exciting to create a new set of LEGO Brickheadz. I was especially looking forward to this set since Wall-E is one of my favorite Pixar movies. Set #40619 Eve and Wall-E has 155 pieces, is rated for 10+, and costs $14.99 USD.
Brickheadz overall tend to copy a similar structure for the creation of their overall shape, but Wall-E and Eve definitely stood out from the crowd in this regard.
Wall-E’s natural body shape worked perfectly with the LEGO Brickheadz theme and he is adorable. His track drive looks authentic, and his little hands give him the ability to hold onto all the treasures he finds. I really enjoyed how his head was given the ability to tilt up and down allowing him to take on some of the expressions we love so much in the character. Wall-E travels with his tool chest and the boot holding a beautiful baby plant.
Eve’s sleek and modern round robotic form would have been a challenge to create, but the LEGO designers created a very good representation of her. Her head is nicely rounded and her arms are very cute. Clear pieces were strategically placed between her body and head to create the illusion that there is open space between them. I would have loved to have seen Eve’s eyes to have been recessed within the black screen surrounding them, but overall they still nicely mirror her original eyes.
Battle of the Brickheadz: In this battle Wall-E wins hands down. He is interactive, and looks extremely similar to the character from the movie, not to mention how absolutely adorable he is in brick form.
Wall-E and Eve were an easy enjoyable build, and a perfect pair to add to anyone’s Brickheadz collection.
